Pre-Festival
Carols by Candlelight is an annual event held in December and presented by the Goldfields Ministers Network. This event is organised and presented free of charge to the whole community. It is a professionally run event with state of the art sound and lighting production and creative local talent. The aim of Carols in Kal is to encourage the community to come together and celebrate the spirit of Christmas, join in with carol singing and share in the real meaning of the season.
If you'd like to find out more information about holding a stall at this year's event, there will be a form available below, closer to the event.
Prior to the main event, a range of stalls are set up to provide food and activities for families who attend Carols in Kal. This part of the event has been steadily growing over the years as people take the opportunity to spend an enjoyable Sunday evening relaxing at Centennial Park and soaking up the atmosphere. Businesses, churches and community groups are invited to participate in the Pre-Festival activities and provide a service to all who attend.
In 2017, the Pre-Festival will start at 5pm, with stall holders able to set up from 4pm. This will allow more time for families to participate and make use of the food services provided. The main event starts at 7pm and all stall holders are welcome to keep trading, or join the audience and participate in the Carols singing. The event is planned to finish about 9:15pm.
